Bio
Yiyi Hao is an emerging artist from Nanjing, China, currently in her junior year pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with a focus on Printmaking and Sculpture. Her work is deeply rooted in exploring transformation, texture, and form across various mediums. Outside of her academic life, Yiyi is inspired by her love for classical music and her ability to play the violin and piano, which has a strong influence on the rhythm and harmony present in her artwork. She is also passionate about traveling and discovering abandoned ruins, constantly seeking new sources of inspiration. The theatrical and haunting beauty of these spaces often informs the dramatic and contemplative aspects of her practice.
